FSGA welcomes Dr. Joseph Thornton, Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UF Heath. He is the Founding Director for the UF-VA UNESCO Bioethics Unit and works clinically in the General Adult Division both inpatient and outpatient services. Artifical Intelligence is one of his top areas of exploration. This session explores how artificial intelligence is transforming guardianship practice, highlighting tools once unimaginable two decades ago that are now part of daily life. Participants will gain practical strategies for using GPT programs as trusted consultants while learning to recognize and manage common challenges like hallucinations and bias.
